Outstanding and rare chess table made in solid silver and ornamental stones.
Chess set in malachite and white stone (marble stone).
The quadrangular tray is inlaid with a draught board in stripped agate and aventurine and the frames are made in sodalite. The sides are represented by framings in rectangular-shaped malachite cartouches. The feet are swelled in a ring-shape, raised by some malachite sheets and brought together by a X-shape “entretoise” and an agate vase from which three flowers stick out.
Acanthus leaves appear on the feet.
Swan hallmark (which means it was stamped in France but comes from abroad).
